Fokus Media introduced Ropo Capital’s e-invoicing and invoice lifecycle management system in autumn 2014. The solution is efficient, and generates significant cost savings by combining the whole order-invoicing process into one, easy-to-manage entity.
Fokus Media Finland specialises in magazine publishing and is a pioneer in its field: the company has decided to outsource all functions outside its core operations and concentrate on developing its business. Ropo Capital has been responsible for Fokus Media’s invoicing, ledger and payments monitoring since autumn 2014.
– We knew from the beginning that we would outsource all invoicing operations. Quality of service, consistency and reliability are the traits we value the most in a partner. And if the company happens to be from Finland, that is a plus, explains Johanna Mikkonen, Head of Consumer Sales and Marketing at Fokus Media.
– Outsourcing helps us cut costs and use our resources effectively. We started by analysing our specific needs and saw that Ropo is able to meet them. The entire process must be in order; we expect the service provider to handle the whole chain from start to finish, Mikkonen says.
Computerised process from subscriptions to accounting
Ropo Capital’s invoicing, ledger and payments monitoring system is a part of an overall service solution tailored for Fokus Media. The solution is based on automated data transfer between Fokus Media’s existing customer and subscription management system and Ropo Capital’s Ropo 24 invoicing software.
The necessary subscription and payment data are transferred electronically from one system to another through inter-system interfaces all the way to accounting. An automated system is efficient and easy to manage and monitor.
– Focus Media’s subscription and invoicing process is marked by special requirements, which is typical of the whole industry. The case serves as an excellent example of high-end customisation. Cooperation is well under way and the benefits considerable.
